Who we are

At Lakeside Custom Apparel, we believe great apparel starts with people who care about the details. We are a women owned, family run business that began more than 10 years ago with a single direct to garment printer in the basement of our family home. What started as a small operation has grown into a full service apparel and branding shop serving businesses, retail stores, and first responders throughout our community.

Today we offer screen printing, embroidery, DTG printing, laser engraving, and signs and banners. Whether we are producing retail merchandise, outfitting a company’s staff, or creating apparel for EMTs, fire or police departments, we take pride in doing the job right.

Our approach is simple. We pay attention to the details, communicate clearly, and are always willing to go the extra mile to make sure our customers get exactly what they need. If a project falls outside of what we do, we are always more than happy to point you in the right direction.

More than a decade after printing our first shirt, we are still driven by the same thing that started it all: doing good work for good people.

more about the services we offer

what is the difference between screeen printing and Direct-to-garment printing?

1

Screen Printing requires more setup which makes it perfect for large quantities with fewer colors. 1-3 color prints are the sweet spot for screen printing, but it’s a faster process once the screens are set up and the production begins

Direct to Garment printing requires much less setup and has the ability to print in full color which screen printing does not. It is a more timely process per shirt, so typically we use DTG for smaller quantities with a high number of colors. This allows us to take a picture and print it exactly as it appears, directly onto the item.

If you have a simple design on a high quantity of shirts, we’d recommend screen printing.

If you’re looking for a smaller number of items with a very colorful design, we’d lean towards direct to garment in this instance.

How does pricing work?

2

Due to the nature of the business, there are many factors at play when it comes to how we price our services.

Because each piece is different, we tend to price each order individually after looking at all the variables. While we may not be able to give you an exact price for your idea immediately, we’re more than happy to give you an estimate or a range based on our typical processes. So don’t hesitate to reach out and ask!

Do we have any minimums?

3

Our standard minimum is 15-24 pieces, depending on the service in question. For screen printing we look for a minimum of 24 items with the same logo, and for embroidery and DTG, that number is slightly lower at 15 since there is less setup. This allows us to make sure nothing falls through the cracks, every job gets the same attention, and we’re able to put everything we have into each order. There are certain exceptions as in the case of a sample for a larger order, or if the head of the company wants to see an example of our work before joining our growing list of customers.

How do i start the process?

4

The easiest way to start the process is by heading to our services page, and requesting a quote from the specific service page you are looking for. If you’re looking for screen printing, head over to services, click on screen printing and request a quote from that page.

This should give us enough details to give you an accurate quote. It’s even easier and more accurate if you’re able to attach a copy of the logo and send that as well. That will give us an idea of what work needs to be done on the logo, and the questions asked give us a good baseline for what you’re looking for.

If you’d like to look through our distributor catalog and pick out specific items, that goes a long way in helping us give you the most precise estimate we can.
